Lilies of the Field

Sidney Poitier won the Academy Award for Best Actor in this heartwarming classic about an ex-GI on his way home from military duty who stumbles upon a poor community of German nuns out in the desert. The sisters believe the handyman Poitier has been sent by God as an answer to their prayers to build them a chapel. Movie shown in Black and White.
